OpenHack Migration in Munich 28/01/2020 – 30/01/2020

It was awesome to be technically responsible for the OpenHack Migration in München taking place from 28/01/2020 to 30/01/2020 in München. We had about 40 attendees and 9 coaches leading the tables.

This OpenHack is all about “Migrating Microsoft Workloads to Azure” using Azure Migrate and in addition to this we are building up the landing zone in Azure to be able to migrate the environment to Azure as “lift & shift” at first and later on migrating SQL to SQL Database and Webservice to an AppService Environment and finally add security features like Security Center and KeyVault.

As in general the OpenHack Team is leading the hacks with a colleague from the US, but this was my first time being technically responsible for it as a native German Microsoft colleague.

Thanks for all attendees joining and all coaches. You did a great job, really appreciate it. Special thanks to my colleague Moonis from Houston/Texas for supporting me as “swarm coach” and supporting all tables/coaches is technical issues arise.
